Two Bodies of Work: One Artist

Since 1994, I have been working on two bodies of work simultaneously. I find that each series of work fuels the other in ways I never expected. The Way Out West series has been ongoing since the mid 1980"s and I enjoy exploring the external landscape and appreciate the paradoxes inherent in the juxtapositions of man and the natural environment. Second Thoughts by stark contrast, is a series of "internal Landscapes" which mine the personal and emotional relationships between people and objects. It has been liberating to be working on these two projects in tandem. They each serve to express a particular aspect of my attempt to make sense of the world through visual means.
